10 fall weekend outingsWITHIN AN HOUR OF BOISE
Whether you are a mountain biker, hiker, or kayaker, or just prefer to observe the great outdoors from the comfort of a restaurant patio, we are fortunate to live such a short distance to so many recreation opportunities. As Jon Snow would say, “Winter is coming” - so get out and enjoy while this beautiful fall weather lasts!
Idaho City: pop up for an afternoon exploring beautiful fall foliage and Gold Rush-era museums, with multiple restaurant options when the kids get peckish
Sunnyslope Wine Trail: near Marsing and Caldwell, this wine region boasts lots of vineyards and tasting rooms with views of the Snake River
Crater Rings: a little-known landmark near Mountain Home, these unique geographic formations were a result of volcanic collapses and make for great wildlife viewing
Bruneau Sand Dunes State Park: a designated International Dark Sky area, spend the day sandboarding and the evening viewing more stars than you've seen in years
Halverson Bar and the Snake River Canyon: 1200 acres of fishing and Bald Eagle scouting along the Snake River
Jump Creek Canyon: a short in-and-out hike perfect for younger kids, with a rewarding 60-foot waterfall at the end
The Springs: located in Idaho City, this is Boise's best-known hot springs; reservations are required so make sure you book before you go
Station Creek Trail: in the Garden Valley area and prime for absorbing pretty scenery while you drive and then stopping for lunch wherever looks good
Bogus Basin: if you're willing to brave the mountain road, the reward is a hike in crisp high-altitude air and stunning alpine vistas
Givens Hot Springs: let's say, hypothetically, that you were didn't plan far enough ahead to book reservations for The Springs; this one is a nice alternative near Melba!
IN Real Estate
CLOSED THIS WEEK
Lahinch Ln, Kuna
Congratulations to my client, who is returning to Idaho from the East Coast and closed on her home in the Valor community this week!
If you haven't made it out to the Falcon Crest Golf Course in Kuna lately, you may not know that a new master planned community is being built there! The golf course is being converted to a private club over the course of several years, and members and residents will have a brand new clubhouse, pro shop, multiple restaurants, and all the pickleball they can handle.
My client fell in love with a lot overlooking a beautiful pond on the course, and over the next few months, we worked with Berkeley Building Co. to select her floor plan and finishes to make the home truly her own. Although it felt long to her, the whole process only took about 6 months start to finish!
