Hey First name / Bookworm, Last week I watched the abomination that was Netflix's adaptation of Persuasion. Did you? If you're a true Jane Austen fan, you'll for sure be disappointed. However, aside from it being decidedly NOT Jane Austen, there were some beautiful scenes a la 2005's Pride and Prejudice. I absolutely need to do a reread of Persuasion now though as a palette cleanser. Who's in? This week I've also put together a book rec list for you of all my most anticipated reads for the rest of the year (thank you to everyone who helped me select the cover image by voting on IG Stories!). It's time for an Unhaul. All of these new or gently used books are going to be listed on my Mercari this weekend (except for the ARCs, which I'll be donating), and you all get first dibs. A lot are duplicates, or books I've read and won't read again, or books I don't have a desire to read, but someone else might love! |
