NEWSLETTER
Vol. 1, Issue 2 - 1st October 2022
Dear friend,

It's great to be back after an unexpected house move and taking time out to work on some exciting new developments which we are delighted to share with you in today's newsletter.

The more content we publish and the more we use the site, the more visible we become. The word is certainly spreading with 2,018 visits and 4,198 page views in August including visitors from overseas who are always very welcome. There was a slight dip in activity during September and so we are working hard to attract new members without involving any marketing.

The key is talking to people on the phone and as far as possible in person which John does with such care every day. This has resulted in 15 enlisted Community Assemblies with committed Founding Facilitators receiving their own ‘knowledge-flow’ updates from John every week.

We are also delighted to welcome Colette as our first highly qualified and experienced Community Health Initiative practitioner who has been awarded her member letters (MCHI) through our assessment process and is the first to join our Health Directory

We hope that more members will come forward to promote their business or trade on our Trade Directory and we greatly appreciate all our members' support. I hope the new content and features on our website and blog will be of interest, encouraging more to join us and perhaps make a donation

If you have any questions or suggestions, we would love to hear from you so please feel free to send a message. If you know anyone who might like to know more about us, please forward this email as these small steps are helping us to steadily grow our CABI network.

I hope you enjoy the new additions and look forward to catching up again soon.

LATEST ADDITIONS
Community Health Initiative
The Community Health Initiative (CHI) was founded to create a network of accredited and recommended healing services for communities across the British Isles. The assessment process does not involve 'failing' anyone, it helps to identify where improvements can be made and provides experienced healers with the opportunity to become fully accredited.

Community Health Directory
Natural health practitioners and practices in our new Health Directory have been assessed by the Community Assembly of the British Isles (CABI) by fully qualified assessors and verifiers to become Members (MCHI) or Licentiates (LCHI) of the Community Health Initiative (CHI).

How to get help
Our 'How to get help' information provides guidance on who can get help and how best to find the support and/or treatments required. This is a work in progress and included as a project to choose from on our donations page. Contributions will help to support our forthcoming ‘Emergency Fund’ for those with special needs and those with limited access to help and funding.

Donations
On popular request, it is now easy to support us as we develop our services for the benefit of members, international friends and the wider community. There are several projects we are working on that need your support and you can choose which of these you would like to make a donation to. All contributions are gratefully received and a little goes a long way so thank you!

Bookshop & Book Insights
We are delighted to announce the launch of our new bookshop where you can browse recommended books that are relevant to our vision, truthful in their intention and enlightening in the insights they reveal. We may earn a small commission on books sold via our affiliates, bookshop.org, and all books will be featured in our new Book Insights series on our blog.

Governance
We are now formally set up as a Private Members' Association with our own constitution (available on request) and Membership Terms. We have also published a Code of Conduct for blog comments (coming soon), a Code of Ethics for Writers and a Declaration of Trust from our treasurer, John Gilbert, for principles relating to donations, affiliate commissions from our new bookshop and any other income that may come to light in the future.

International Friends
WELCOME!
You will have received an email update from John recently sharing news about website visits from friends overseas with 18 people from different countries reaching out.  John has created a new list for ‘International Friends’ who can enlist with us using our Member Application Form and receive updates with an option to be connected with people near to them if required.

We are feeling a groundswell of truth with more people starting to look for alternatives and it is wonderful to be able to join hands over the pond.
