NEWSLETTER
Vol. 1, Issue 3 - 14 October 2022
Dear friend,

I am pleased to bring news of more developments since our previous newsletter and hope this finds you well.

We have made a small amendment to our Private Members' Association content where one of our members kindly questioned our use of the word ‘constitution.' Having double-checked with John Gilbert, it turned out not to be correct and so we have changed this to internal ‘procedures’ which is now accurate and a copy is available on request.

We always encourage feedback and as this is your website, always happy to look at amending things to be more clear and accurate, and (going forward) sending out a vote should there be a suggestion to make a change that might affect everyone. If you have any ideas, we are always happy to hear from you.

We are also delighted to welcome Pippa Harrison and John Gilbert to the Community Health Initiative as (MCHI) practitioners, joining our first MCHI member, Colette Gray, with more natural health practitioners joining us in the coming weeks.

We launched a new series on the blog for ‘Book Insights’ in support of the books available from our new affiliate bookshop with new books being added every week. A second series focuses on ‘community’ and the various services we are developing with the help of our founding facilitators, members and special advisors.

We are starting to connect with each other more now and I am delighted to see that our newsletter is fast becoming another channel of communication for anything to do with the website and any questions or help needed, particularly in terms of setting up platforms and spreading the word.

With this in mind, tremendous thanks to Nick Kitchen, a Founding Facilitator for the Community Assembly of Lincolnshire for setting up a new Telegram account in the name of The Community Assembly Hub where you will be able to find content from our website, updates on things like events, and the opportunity to connect with like-minded friends. Please reach out if you have an account and let's tell the world about the things we are doing and the beautiful world we want to create for everyone to enjoy.

I have found an excellent platform for ‘comments’ which will be intergrated during the next few weeks and these will be added to our ‘knowledge’ blog posts so that we can start conversations around the things that matter most to us. More news on this next time.

We are here if you have any questions, and I hope you enjoy the new content.

I look forward to catching up again soon.

Group Directory
We now have 15 Community Assemblies enlisted with their own profiles on the directy with names of Founding Facilitators and Special Advisors together with their contact details. This means we now have 44 committed facilitators working directly with the Community Assemblies and 39 advisors who work across the British Isles and/or provide assistance and support to various Community Assemblies.

We would like to thank the Special Advisors who are working with John Gilbert to help with the setting up of assemblies across the British Isles and grow the network. This is very much in line with our Community Assembly Framework as set out by our Chairman, Marc Horn.

NEW SERIES
On the blog
A Community Perspective
A new series of blog posts exploring the concept of community and how we are working to support the start up and growth of local Community Assemblies without getting in your way! If you have any questions or suggestions about the content being posted, please get in touch.
A new definition for ‘community’
On our first post in this series is called ‘A Community Perspective’ where we have proposed a new definition for ‘community’ (having decided that the current one is devoid of any real meaning). By turning the ‘decline of our communities’ into ‘top 10 reasons to rebuild our communities’ this gives us a clear idea of the services we need to provide in order to meet real needs.

A community is a superlative diverse multi-culture where people, land and nature are valued, cared for and nurtured according to Natural Law so that everyone (without exception) is supported to realise their spiritual potential, express themselves creatively, make a meaningful contribution and become their best selves.

If you have any feedback, contact us, we would love to hear from you!
