It is a common concern that the non licensed and unregulated NYS cannabis businesses leave room for a lack of consumer protection. We are now in the midst of an emerging legal adult-use market, a regulated medical market, a pre-existing “black”/legacy and this grey market which thrives during the transitionary time before regulation. During these times, as community, our main focus should be:
Continued education about WHAT you are smoking
&
Continued support and clear information for the businesses & individuals who have contributed to our pre-existing cannabis market.
As Consumers we need to be fully educated on the businesses from which we are purchasing- regulated or not- as well as the plants and products we put into or on our bodies.
