I accidentally forgot to wear a bra on one of my morning walks this week, and by the time I noticed, it was too late to go back. It was cold, my ladies were hard, and I swear everyone was staring. And just when I started to get comfortable, the universe was like cool, let's make this b*tch run. Because that's just what this quiet park needed at 8am in the morning, a hysterical woman fighting gravity while screaming and running towards a rogue dog. |

Enter a girl with one large dog on a leash, and one small dog off leash. The small dog made a bee line for my (much larger) dog who was now ready to eat her for breakfast. The owner looked frantic, so I asked for her dog's name so I could help. Here I am doing a hunched half run screaming Lucy's name while my arms (and ladies) are flailing in the air in an attempt to get her to come to me. All three dogs were barking, it was chaos, and finally I was able to get Lucy back to her owner. Needless to say, if you have a dog, please use a leash in public. And also, don't forget to wear a bra when you leave the house. I think I just broke a sweat retelling that story. |

Priyanka Chopra was on the podcast, We Can Do Hard Things this week. It was a great conversation about caring less about what others think. One thing really stuck with me, and I had to share. The episode started where the host gave a description of all of Priyanka's accomplishments, and after she was done, Priyanka shared how incredibly awkward it can feel to hear that. The ladies then had a conversation about how hard it is for women to accept compliments. Then one of the hosts said something profound, and it was to think of accepting a compliment as a form of elevating our gratitude for it. I thought this was such a great way to frame it, and I doubt I'll ever look at a compliment the same way again. |
