You are taking life wayyyyyy too seriously,” my biz bestie Sara (from BTL Copy!) sent via text.

I had just sent her a 10-message-long string of rants about various stressors happening in my business and life. In what was surely a 3-minute span, my emotions had ranged from stressed to guilty to deranged.

(I do not envy her on the other side of those messages, sometimes. Thank u Sara, love u Sara.)

When she said that, though, I was immediately reminded of all those TikToks—please tell me you've seen them—about how nothing is life or death when you work in a creative field.

I mean, we're not doing brain surgery here. We're making things pretty and sound good so that customers will buy.

If you're receiving this email right now, there's a high probability that you're also in a creative field, First name / friend. Which means that, like me, you literally spend all day doing your little creative bits and bobs, fluttering around, doing all the fun stuff that most of the population wish they got to do.

And above even that, we're literally on a floating rock, spinning in the middle of vast nothingness & everythingness.

There's just simply no reason to be worried.

So, whatever you're taking too seriously this week—maybe it's a Reel you've been waiting to post, or an email you've been dreading— I need you to stop and reconsider. We all do.

Our jobs are way tf too much fun to be this worried all the time.

*file this under advice I'm giving because I need it myself*

PS. I have July & August spots available for my Website in a Day service, so if you're looking to get a website up before those fall inquiries start rolling back in, summer is a great time to get it checked off your list! Reply to this email & we'll get a free consult on the calendar :)

See ya next Tuesday,
Sarah Kleist
