To My Beloved Patients at INMC,

A big thank you for the warm response and reception of my first newsletter. I hope to continue to provide valuable insight to the treatment process, and the beneficial relationship between conventional treatment and Naturopathic medicine for Cancer Care.

This week I want to focus on the mind + body connection, as well as an introduction to the importance of intravenous therapies while undergoing cancer treatment.

Mind + Body Connection:
What is Tai Chi?
Tai Chi is also know as meditation in motion, and is considered a mind/body practice. What makes Tai Chi a great intro to meditation is that it is: low-impact, slow-motion, regulates breathing and is easily adaptable to each individuals capabilities.
What is the history of Tai Chi?
Tai Chi is rooted in Chinese philosophy and dates back to some of the earliest dynasties. It focuses on balancing the system and improving the energetic flow through the body.
Qi: An energy force thought to flow through the body, Tai Chi is said to unblock and encourage proper flow of Qi when practiced regularly.

Yin + Yang: Opposing elements thought to make up the universe that need to be kept in harmony. Tai Chi is said to help promote this restorative balance.

Intravenous Therapies:
(IV) Intravenous therapies is one of the fastest ways to deliver fluids and nutrients to your bloodstream. By injection nutrients intravenously we can directly affect the health of cells and tissues in the body. What makes this key in our Cancer Care approach?

1. Optimal Absorption: Helps bypass the digestive system and liver to ensure increased absorption in the tissues and cells of the body.

2. Higher Concentration: Intravenous therapy utilizes the cardiovascular system rather than the digestive system, allow us to introduce higher concentrations of nutrients.

Some of the most recommend IV's in our Cancer Program:
