I think we can all hold hands and say this: educational content about websites can be kinda boring, no?

Maybe it's just me.

Maybe I'm just bombarded by all the marketing girly content on the internet because I am one.

(Or maybe you're not in the marketing side of the internet at all, and I'm the only web designer you follow—in which case, slay. 💅🏻)

Regardless of what industry you've started a business in—whether you're a makeup artist, a voice teacher, a fitness trainer, or whatever else—shit eventually gets stale. Shit gets boring.

And at a certain point, you stop feeling inspired by the content you feel like you're “supposed” to post:

5 Content Sections You Need On Your Homepage
The 3 Best Mascaras for Ultimate Long Lashes in 2023
10 Audition Songs to Take Into Your Hamilton Callback
… etc etc etc.

Nodding your head in agreement rn?

Add it to the list of reasons why building a business around a personal brand (aka, YOU), is so so so freaking important.

I could go on and on about how clients in 2023 care just as much about the personality of the person they're hiring as they do about the quality of the work. (And I have gone on and on about it on Instagram, many times.)

But besides the fact that showing your face and being the leading role in your business & brand story will make you so much more $$$ and earn you so much more immediate trust—it also means you get to create content about other things if you want to, as long as you can relate it back to a bigger brand story.

Yeah, I'm a web designer—but I also love Love is Blind.

^^^And 80% of the time, those things are so much more fun to talk about than “5 Content Sections You Need On Your Homepage”. For both me and my audience.

TL;DR: In the year of our lord 2023, stop hiding behind your graphics, people! There's more money, more connections, and more inpsiration on the other side of your fear of being seen. I promise.

(And if you need help with that, you know where to find me.)

2024 is looming, and I've got just a few template customization spots left in November until I'm out of commission until January.

If you're looking to get a new site up before the Q1 mad dash, I'd love to help! Reply to this email and we can chat further.

xoxo,
