OCTA Mở Rộng Dự Án Cải Thiện Xa Lộ I-405, Làn Đường Cao Tốc 405 Express Lanes, Giữa Đường SR-73 Và I-605

Mời các đại diện truyền thông tham gia sự kiện của Cơ Quan Giao Thông Quận Cam (OCTA) để khánh thành việc mở rộng Dự Án Cải Thiện Xa Lộ I-405 vào thứ Sáu, ngày 1 tháng Mười Hai, nhằm cải thiện hành trình đi khi lái xe trên một trong những đoạn đường cao tốc bận rộn nhất trên toàn quốc. 

 

Hợp tác với Caltrans, dự án này tạo giữa Costa Mesa và biên giới Quận Cam với Quận Los Angeles - đã thêm một làn đường thông thường ở mỗi hướng, như đã hứa với cử tri thông qua Biện pháp M, loại thuế tiêu thụ thêm nửa xu của Quận Cam dành áp dụng cho giao thông.

 

Ngoài ra, dự án đã tạo ra Đường Cao Tốc 405 Express Lanes giữa SR-73 ở Costa Mesa và I-605. Do OCTA vận hành, Làn Đường Cao Tốc 405 Express Lanes mang lại lựa chọn cho những người đi chung xe có thể di chuyển miễn phí, và cho những người lái xe cá nhân có thể đi nhanh hơn với lộ phí. 

 

Dự kiến tất cả các làn đường thông thường và Làn Đường Cao Tốc 405 Express Lanes sẽ mở cửa vào buổi sáng thứ Sáu trong giờ đi làm. 

 

Dự án cũng đã cải thiện các đường phố và đường ra vào và ra khỏi cao tốc trong các thành phố dọc theo khu vực dự án dài 16 dặm và đã xây lại 18 cây cầu, nhiều trong số đó bao gồm vỉa hè và đường dành cho xe đạp mới.

Dự án sẽ cải thiện thời gian di chuyển cho những người lái xe thường xuyên phải đối mặt với tình trạng ùn tắc nghiêm trọng cả ở làn đường thông thường và làn đường đi chung, và phục vụ  sự tăng trưởng dự kiến về việc làm, dân số và nhà ở trong khu vực.

 

Dự Án Cải Thiện Xa Lộ I-405 trị giá 2.16 tỷ đô la, là một trong những nguồn tài trợ quan trọng để thực hiện các cam kết được đưa ra cho cử tri thông qua biện pháp Measure M. Dự án được tài trợ qua sự kết hợp của các nguồn quốc tế, quốc gia và địa phương, với phần lớn nguồn tài chính đến từ Measure M. 

 

Phần Đường Cao Tốc 405 Express Lanes của dự án được tài trợ bởi khoản vay TIFIA (Đạo luật Đổi Mới và Tài Chính Cơ Sở Hạ Tầng Giao Thông Vận Tải Liên Bang). Khoản vay này sẽ được hoàn lại qua lộ phí từ những người lái xe dùng làn đường cao tốc này.

OCTA to Open I-405 Improvements, 405 Express Lanes 
Between SR-73 and I-605   


 

Media is invited to attend the Orange County Transportation Authority event to commemorate the opening of the I-405 Improvement Project on Friday, Dec. 1, to improve drivers’ commutes along one of the busiest highways in the nation.

 

In cooperation with Caltrans, the project – between Costa Mesa and the Orange County border with Los Angeles County – added one regular lane in each direction, as promised to voters through Measure M, Orange County’s half-cent sales tax for transportation.

 

In addition, the project created the 405 Express Lanes between SR-73 and I-605. Operated by OCTA, the 405 Express Lanes gives options to carpoolers to travel for free and solo drivers the choice to speed up their commute for a toll.

 

All regular lanes and the 405 Express Lanes are expected to be open for the Friday morning commute.

 

The project also improved streets and freeway on- and off-ramps throughout the cities along the 16-mile project area and 18 bridges were reconstructed, many of which include new sidewalks and bike lanes.

I-405 in northwest Orange County is one of the most heavily traveled highways in the nation, with more than 370,000 vehicles a day. The project will improve travel times for drivers who routinely faced severe congestion in both the regular lanes and the carpool lanes, and accommodate the expected growth in employment, population and housing throughout the region.

 

The $2.16 billion I-405 Improvement Project is a cornerstone of fulfilling the promises made to voters through Measure M. The project is financed with a combination of local, state and federal funds, with the majority of funding from Measure M.

 

The 405 Express Lanes portion of the project is funded by a federal Transportation Infrastructure and Innovation Act (TIFIA) loan. The loan will be repaid solely by drivers who choose to pay a toll.
