Your relationships.

Have you been paying attention to the people in your life that mean the most to you? I often joke by saying who's got time for friends? It's hard to find time in our busy schedules. But if we don't make time, time keeps slipping away, along with our relationships.

I don't mean to be negative, but our special people deserve our time and attention no matter how busy we are. It's easy to get caught up in the constant flow of life, to get stuck on auto-pilot, to go through the motions without paying attention to those we love.

I'm totally guilty of mindlessly cooking dinner while barely registering my attention with my family. My mindfulness practice helps me notice when I'm doing this and remind myself that there will never be another moment like this one. Things change. We age and grow.

Practicing being present is an important skill for you to learn so that you can decide where your attention goes. One of my absolute favorite quotes, and I know I'm dating myself, is from Ferris Bueller's Day Off (1986).

I've shared this quote here before, but it bears repeating:
“Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.”  – Ferris

Who in your life would enjoy some quality time spent with you? Who would bring joy to your day? Make some time. Create some space. Strengthen your relationships with your presence. Real presence.

See how paying attention on purpose with those you love makes you feel. ♥️

Log into our 365 space to continue the conversation. Leave a comment and tell us how you're making time for people who matter to you. You inspire others with your very presence.
