DEAR READER… I AM SUPER EXCITED TO ANNOUNCE YOU MY NEW OFFERINGS FOR 2023
ready?
Listening circles
online
—for language activists and minority language speakers
Dear reader, I want to tell you something. This year, speaking with my friends, I have realised that what they appreciated the most, rather than my company and support, was just for me to be there😮
Presence. Active listening.
Listening is a very rare capacity.
Are we able to truly listen nowadays?

What is a listening circle?
"The Circle process supports many purposes in group work, from sharing stories to cultivating our humanity and building relationships and trust, to listening to many perspectives to sense the wisdom of the whole.
Circle practices support authentic and powerful communication. It’s a structure which allows for every person to be seen, heard, and equally contribute to a shared experience".
My offering:
👂Three dates for three different language communities 👂
Ideally, Listening Circles work beautifully and have tremendous power when held physically. What's the point of doing it online? With many people from the global minority languages community which is spread all over the world, it is hard to see each other in person, and we usually are forced to use the internet to connect. The idea of this space is not to replace face-to-face communication, but to offer support for those who need it most, for example people in the diaspora, who live outside the linguistic community of origin, those who are going through a bad time, and in general to just feel heard, seen, understood and generate solidarity.
How many people participate in my listening circles, and how long do they last?
The listening circle I propose is in a small format, maximum 9 people. They will last one hour in total. Meetings will take place through Google Meet.
Important disclaimer
A listening circle is not a therapy session. Each participant takes responsibility in opening whatever issue to the group, and closing it once the session will be over. Adequate psychological support can only be offered by a qualified professional.
