FlexJobs - (Resource) - This is one of my favorite sites to use for finding remote jobs and learning about new companies that hire remotely. Most of what I see there when I check the listings pays well above minimum wage and are known companies. 

 

The great thing about FlexJobs is that they guarantee ALL listings are scam-free. They list hundreds of jobs -- all of which are either remote or flexible in nature -- five days per week. There are also no ads on the site!

 

Because there are no ads, they do charge a membership fee since that is the only way they can see a return on their job-searching efforts. 

 

But it's cheap -- you can get access for a few weeks for just $2.95 for 14 full days!

 

If you sign up and don't like it, it's very easy to cancel right away so you are not billed again. You can do it any point during your 14 days of checking things out.

 

User Interviews - (Extra Cash) - Paid Research. This reputable company conducts research studies paying $50 or more for your time. They are always looking for new respondents.

You will classify words and phrases in application form answers to specific questions and resumes from candidates (you will have the recording and the transcript for any video/audio content) against complicated person specification criteria, among other responsibilities. Pay is $25 hourly.

 

Vetcove - Chat Support Associate. US. Full-time. The Support Associate is responsible for engaging with the vibrant community of veterinary professionals to support them in their critical purchasing decisions and processes through the use of the Vetcove platform. Requires a year of past customer service experience and at least a 2-year college degree.

 

ezCater - Customer Service Agent. US. You will answer inbound calls from customers, CPs, or delivery drivers. Requires 1+ year experience in a people facing role (CS, Sales, Hospitality). The start date for this position is May 20, 2024. Training will be fully remote. The national cash compensation range for this role is $45,000-$52,000*.

 

Staples - Chat Representative. US. You will effectively manage phone, email, and/or chat online workflow. Must have 1+ year experience in a customer focused, customer service, or sales role. Rate of pay not given.

 

Audio Transcription Center - US. You can work in-house or at home. This is a 55 year old company based in Boston. They do not require experience, but you do have to take a typing test for them and screenshot your results. They say bi- or multilingual candidates are always welcome, but it's not required.

 

Buy Keyword Articles - Freelance Writers. US only. Pays every two weeks with Paypal. Pays from one to five cents a word with most writers averaging $9 to $14 hourly.

 

Smith.ai - Read Smith.ai Review - Regularly hires virtual assistants and receptionists. Must have great communication skills and be able to type at least 40 wpm. Starting pay is $15 per hour, and benefits include bonuses, medical, dental, vision, and retirement plans.

 

TELUS - Rater. US. Freelance. Looking for dynamic and creative people who have strong communication skills and use the Internet daily. The job involves analyzing and providing feedback on text, web pages, images and other types of information for leading search engines, using an online tool. Pay: $12 - $13 USD per hour.
