Hey hey there First name / Scrapper … can you believe it's the end of August. I cannot! I'm planning for 2025 and want to know what you could like sew with me next year? Would a block club interest you using vintage quilt blocks, with quilt layouts and ideas on how to use the blocks? Do you prefer blocks of the months? Lemme know, hit respond, I'd love to hear. I have ideas… so many, but I want to know what you want.

September's discounted pattern is the Housey Pouch. Save 10%. Click the LINK and the discount will be applied automatically at checkout, you can also use the code HOUSEYP10 at checkout if you prefer.

I LOVE house motifs in patchwork. I’m drawn to them, so the Housey Pouch was inevitable really!

This generous sized pouch, 13” W x 10” H, is a fun sew and great for storing on-the-go sewing, whether that be embroidery, english paper piecing or patchwork. Using quilt batting to line the outer panels adds an extra layer of stitching fun.

Use threads like Wonderfil Eleganza, Perle Cotton or Aurifil 12wt to 'quilt' and embellish the pouch. Allow the fabric design to guide your stitching. See the photos in the pattern for examples of this.

The only decision in finishing your Housey Pouch is to top it with a folded hexagon or yo-yo - the pattern includes instructions for both of these techniques. SEW much stitching fun.
