FlexJobs - (Resource) - This is one of my favorite sites to use for finding remote jobs and learning about new companies that hire remotely. Most of what I see there when I check the listings pays well above minimum wage and are known companies. 

 

The great thing about FlexJobs is that they guarantee ALL listings are scam-free. They list hundreds of jobs -- all of which are either remote or flexible in nature -- five days per week. 

 

There are also no ads on the site!

 

Because there are no ads, they do charge a membership fee since that is the only way they can see a return on their job-searching efforts. But it's cheap -- you can get access for a few weeks for just $2.95 for 14 full days!

 

If you sign up and don't like it, it's very easy to cancel right away so you are not billed again. You can do it any point during your 14 days of checking things out.

If you are hired to work for them, they provide the equipment you need to do the work. And they also provide benefits which includes paid time off, health benefits, and more.

 

Buyer's Edge - Tax Agent. The Tax Agent is responsible for managing and processing payroll and sales-related business taxes across all 50 states, ensuring compliance with federal and state tax laws. Must have in-depth knowledge of state employment tax, sales tax, and federal/state tax laws, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a business context. The salary range is $60,000 - $72,000.

You will be part of a team of proofreaders who ensure the integrity of hearing transcripts from courts across the U.S. This includes verifying the accuracy of the audio record as well as adhering to the strict formatting guidelines each jurisdiction requires. As an independent contractor you will be compensated on a per-page basis. This is comparable to other professionals in the legal proofreading field. You will submit/approve invoices for the work you complete and will be paid weekly via direct deposit.

 

Gramlee - Content and Dissertation Editors. US and possibly other countries. All editors are hired as contractors. You will work from the luxury of your home and determine your availability.

 

Tellwut - Survey Respondents. US and Canada. This is a fun survey panel with short polls and surveys you can take to earn cash and gift cards. Highly rated by Survey Police. Currently they are needing people in the US and also Canada to sign up.

 

Vesta - Remote Medical Assistant. US. Fluency in English and Spanish/Mandarin/Cantonese/Russian (writing, reading and speaking) (required). You will provide TOC support including: contacting facilities, members, caregivers, and care team members as directed, work closely with the clinical team to improve the health and care of our members and prevent rehospitalization, among other things. You must be a medical assistant with 2+ years of experience in an urgent care / acute care setting, experience escalating symptomatic members, and 1+ year of experience working with members who have just left a facility/hospital. Benefits are offered. Pay is $20 hourly.
