Happy 2025! We hope you enjoyed some peace and quiet during the recent break, and that you are energized about the new year. After a string of DEI defections, there is significant excitement about the news that Costco's Board has rejected a shareholder proposal challenging its DEI activities. Beyond the rebuttal itself, there is reason to hope that this could mark the beginning of challenges to the anti-DEI ideologues that are doing nothing more than fomenting polarization and wasting money. Let's hope that 2025 marks the year when the anti-DEI backlash is recognized for what it is: empty, malevolent rhetoric of no value. – Team Aleria |

Congratulations to Simone Biles for being selected as the 2024 Sportsperson of the Year by Sports Illustrated, not just for her amazing achievements as an athlete, but for changing the face of the sport, and for being an advocate for mental health. Congratulations also to a long-time friend of ours, Lola Banjo, for the great feature story describing her success creating and growing the Silver & Riley brand, whose iconic bags and other luxury products are now available at Nordstrom and Saks. |
