H.B. 7013 An Act Concerning Enhancements To The Local Food For Schools Incentive Program + The CT Grown For CT Kids Grant Program. Read the bill here.
 
An Act Concerning Farm To School and Enhancements to the Local Food for Schools Incentive Program (formerly H.B. 5852) morphed into H.B. 7013. This new bill improves our state Local Food Incentive Program (LFSIP) and supports the continued growth and funding for farm to school through the CT Grown for CT Kids Grant Program.
 
The Education Committee will be hearing public comment on H.B. 7013 tomorrow, Wednesday, Feb 26th. Please consider submitting testimony, see the link below for further context and testimony portal.

H.B. No. 6864 An Act Concerning The State Budget For The Biennium Ending June Thirtieth,  2027, and Making Appropriations Therefor. Governor's Proposed FY 25 Budget Adjustments for Elementary and Secondary Education Agencies.
 
The Governor’s budget included funding for continuing free lunch for reduced price eligible students for next school year and no-cost breakfast for all students in school year 2026-2027.
