SAY THIS WITH ME…
I trust myself to grow and evolve.
Every version of me brought me to this moment.
I don’t fear the pivot—I welcome the possibility.
Hey boo,

I have to tell you — after last week’s newsletter, my heart has been so full. So many beautiful conversations unfolded in my inbox and DMs, and it reminded me of something we all forget sometimes:

Change can feel isolating, but you are never moving through it alone.

It feels like so many of us are standing at the edge of newness or change right now. Not because everything’s falling apart — but because deep down, we’re realizing we’ve outgrown where we’ve been. We’re noticing the quiet ways stress shows up — not just from having too much on our plates, but from…

Trying to stay small in spaces that no longer fit who we are becoming.

And as we close out National Stress Awareness Month, I’ve been reflecting on how some of the most overwhelming seasons of my life weren’t always caused by a busy schedule or long to-do lists. They were caused by staying too long in places I had already outgrown — places where my gut knew it was time to move on, but my mind was trying to stay comfortable.

This internal stress has often been my body’s way of telling me:

Girl, PLEASE stop forcing yourself into a chapter that’s already finished.

When I look back at my career journey, this was exactly the case.

After college, I thought I would go to medical school. I spent years believing that becoming a doctor was my path — until I felt a pull in a completely different direction: into the world of finance. Investment banking taught me a ton, but it wasn’t home.

I shifted again, this time into HR, because I realized my passion was people — creating meaningful experiences, building environments where others could thrive. That led me to a nonprofit, where I helped Black engineers launch their tech careers. It led me to Meta, where I had the honor of designing employee engagement programs on a global scale.

But beneath all those pivots, something else was quietly growing.

A love for wellness. For fitness. For helping women feel strong in their bodies and lives. What started as a side hustle — teaching fitness classes, coaching women, cheering them on while I was still figuring out my own path — became the calling I couldn’t ignore.

So I leaned in.

I earned my NASM personal training and nutrition certifications. I built my brand. I took the leap into full-time entrepreneurship — terrified, but trusting that the whisper pulling at my heart had a purpose.

It wasn’t easy. There was fear. There were moments when the doubt was louder than the dream. But even in the uncertainty, there was a deep, steady voice inside me whispering: This is the way.

So if you’re standing in the middle of your own pivot right now, here’s what I want you to know:

It won’t always feel graceful. It won’t always feel obvious. It won’t always make sense to other people. Some days will feel like you’re standing in the dark without a flashlight. But trust me when I say — even when you can’t see it yet, you are being led somewhere beautiful.

That stirring you feel? That tension? It’s not something to fix. It’s an invitation to expand. To evolve. To step into a version of yourself that’s been patiently waiting for you to say yes.

Here’s to making space for the dreams that are too big for the old you to carry.

You got this, boo.

Trust and believe, I’m right there with you.

How NASM Helped Me Prep For My Pivot

Before I took the leap into fitness full-time, I wanted to make sure I was grounded—not just in passion, but in preparation. I didn’t just want to “hope it worked out.” I wanted to know I had the foundation to serve my clients with confidence and clarity.

Getting certified as a personal trainer and nutrition coach through National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) gave me the tools, structure, and credibility I needed to coach my clients and turn my side hustle into a business…with impact.

If you’re dreaming about a pivot into the wellness space—start by getting the right tools. Investing in my education was one of the best decisions I’ve made on this journey.
