These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your participation in The Lookbook, a curated directory published by Shannyn Smith, LLC, d/b/a The Capital Boutique® (“we,” “us,” or “our”). Please read these Terms carefully before submitting your profile.

By submitting your information to The Lookbook, you agree to these Terms and affirm that you meet the eligibility criteria shared on the submission page.

 

The Lookbook is an informational directory intended to increase visibility for women entrepreneurs. It is made available to a network of women in venture capital who may use the directory to discover startups aligned with their investment interests.

Participation in The Lookbook is not intended to replace your fundraising efforts, pitch strategy, or due diligence.

 

Inclusion in The Lookbook does not:

Your participation is based on self-selection. There is no formal vetting or review process.

 

By submitting your profile, you affirm that you meet the eligibility criteria for inclusion in The Lookbook as described on the sales page. You understand that we do not verify or confirm eligibility and that participation is entirely based on your self-identification.

We reserve the right to remove any listing that misrepresents facts, includes offensive content, or otherwise violates the intent of this community-driven resource.

 

All information you submit for publication will be published without edits or independent verification. You are solely responsible for the accuracy, legality, and appropriateness of the content provided.

By submitting your profile, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to publish, display, and distribute your content as part of The Lookbook. This includes displaying your profile to registered investor users and in promotional materials referencing The Lookbook.

We will never display your email address or private contact information as part of your profile.

 

Please refer to our Privacy Policy for details on how we collect, use, store, and share user data submitted through The Lookbook. By participating in The Lookbook, you consent to the data practices outlined in our Privacy Policy.

 

Inclusion in The Lookbook is offered as a paid promotional opportunity for founders. All payments are final. No refunds will be issued unless explicitly stated in writing.

 

All branding, design, copy, and structure of The Lookbook are the intellectual property of Shannyn Smith, LLC. You may not reproduce, distribute, or reuse any part of The Lookbook directory without written permission.

 

You may request to have your listing removed at any time by contacting us at shannyn@thecapitalboutique.com. We reserve the right to remove listings at our discretion for content violations or misrepresentation.

Submitting the profile form without completing purchase is a violation of these Terms. We reserve the right to remove any unpaid listing without notice or refund.
Please note: Listings removed by request or due to violation of these Terms are not eligible for a refund.

 

We are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of your participation in The Lookbook. Your use of this Service is at your own risk.

 

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict of law principles.
You agree that any legal action related to The Lookbook shall be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction located in New York, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.

 

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and The Capital Boutique regarding your participation in The Lookbook, superseding any prior or contemporaneous communications.

 

We welcome your feedback about The Lookbook. By submitting comments or suggestions, you grant us the right to use and incorporate them into future versions of the directory or related services without restriction or compensation.
