Dear Friends of and Colleagues in
Maternal & family CARE:
Public libraries have been a cornerstone of my motherhood. I’ve spent countless hours inside of them—nursing babies while reading aloud to toddlers, attending inspiring classes and making connections, gathering wisdom during so many stages of my life from their shelves. Libraries are sacred spaces for the democratization of educationÂ
and access—where vital information is freely shared, and community is quietly built.
This is why I am so pleased to announce that this upcoming fall, in partnership with Charlotte Mecklenburg Library, Mother of Ease will present a lively session on:
Â
Black Birthing Care: Preferences, Places, and Providers
October 11, 2025 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm ET @ North County Regional
Â
This immersive experience will blend critical information with complimentary support—
a thoughtful session designed by yours truly, paired with delightful eats and curated take-home totes—is sure to gift participants with invaluable knowledge and practical tools. This session will be open for registration to 100 in-person attendees, accessible to virtual participants (CML has over 340K active library card holders), and marketed in local community spaces and to organizations that elevate maternal and family health.
