Hi there, First name / my friend -
The middle of the year can carry a sense of stagnation or a lack of motivation, especially if you’re not where you hoped to be. If you feel restless, worn out, overwhelmed, or stuck in an area of life, trust me - you are NOT alone!
Were you able to spend time with the prompts I gave you in
last week’s email? If not, I encourage you to start there. These four questions give you insight into where you are and what you need, whether you’re experiencing some of those blah feelings or not.
Now that you’re halfway through 2025, this is an ideal time to free up space and energy to shift…your mindset, your expectations, your goals. Reframe how you interpret those feelings of ‘stuck-ness’ and see them as cues to clear.
To clear is active and powerful. Feeling stuck is the opposite! Move through these three steps to reset your mojo midyear:
1. List what isn’t working
Without judgment, and with your reality glasses securely in place, note what isn’t getting you the results you want. What doesn’t work for you that once did? When you step back and view things from a higher level, what do you see that needs to go? As your own best friend, what advice can you give yourself?
This could be how your office is set up, or a routine you’ve had in place, or even something you’ve invested time, money, and energy into. Notice it, name it, and let it go.
2. Notice what you’ve outgrown
Your personal growth doesn’t follow the calendar, my friend! You may be in a very different place than you were at the beginning of the year. The degree of your growth doesn’t dictate whether or not you’ve outgrown something. Those feelings of restlessness may indicate that you’re ready for change, rather than stuck.
Maybe you’ve reached the edges of a comfort zone or moved beyond what you once dreamed of. Gain clarity on what no longer fits where you are and gratefully leave it behind.
3. Release the desire to have all the answers
Overwhelm and exhaustion often go hand in hand. Loosen the tight grip of control, First name / my friend! When you do, the next right steps illuminate themselves. Choose 1 small action you can take in the next 30 minutes and do it. Then choose another one. And another one. The momentum you build helps you clear space and energy for the next action.
Focus on the possibilities as you choose what’s next (or, for you hardcore planners, look a few steps ahead), and you’ll soon find yourself feeling lighter and eager to move forward.
