white space returns

And it’s back.

Yes, it paused.
Yes, it returns.
Yes, it feels amazing to be here… again.

Hello Lovely,
This one’s definitely a bit of a mix-tape.
But there are just so many good things happening around here.

First, a confession… (not a juicy one, just something I need to share)…

White Space should be easy for me. There’s always so much to share...
new tutorials, lovely tools, favourite tech, fresh inspo…(on and on I could go)…

But somewhere along the way I started to overthink. (strangely not me).
I'm not sure why.
waiting to make it more polished… more structured… more something???

But I’m over that. Onward.
Moving forward… Whitespace will go out as it comes through me.

Sometimes short and bullet-list-like ☐.
Other times, there might be a meandering story or a quick lesson I can't not share.
And sometimes it’ll be ‘urgent.’ Like the Lightroom disaster I just witnessed on a client call… something every Mac/Lr user needs to know before upgrading to a new computer.

My Plan….
to keep sharing what I’m loving, learning….
what’s working, what’s broken, and what’s beautiful at the moment.

You might read every word. You might not.
Either way, I’ll do my part - write the letter, hit send, and let it be yours from there out.

And if you’re still here… thank you. Truly.
Let's get into ‘all the latest happenings’…

01. A Shortcut Worth Using

If you ever think: I need to remember that - a quote, a moment, something someone said - this one’s for you.

You say: ‘Hey Siri, remember this.’
Your thought gets popped into a daily note, timestamped, organized, and waiting for you later.
It’s like a running journal of little things that mattered.

I show you exactly how to set it up in under 6 minutes on the blog.
And I know you might think I'll save that for later
Im begging you…Just do it
(oh and … it's free).

02. Instagram Captions made Easier

This shortcut automation lets you speak your rough Instagram caption idea and saves it to a new Apple Note.
A first draft, ready when you are.

03. Poppy Love

John grew the most stunning poppies in our garden this year.
I’ve been unapologetically spamming my Insta-Stories with all the loveliness. I have to say they may be right up there with peonies for me.

The poppy seed variety I love the most is called Shirley….the colors and ruffly petals… gah.
If we (as in John) can grow them from seed, I bet you can too.

04. Coming Thursday…

The Art of the Micro Film is opening for early-registration.
Watch for a special early offering coming to your inbox. ♡
I'm so excited about this course.

05. A New Season of Classes

Remember when I mentioned summer school?
Oops… didn’t happen. (Does anyone besides me wanna go to school in the summer?)

Anyhow it's back-to-school instead…
Regular pick-and-choose live classes are coming soon.

Some ideas I’m playing with:
☐ Lightroom editing
☐ Creating beautiful Flodesk emails
☐ Photoshop carousels
☐ Video editing tips and tricks
☐ Nikon tips
☐ Maybe a few unexpected ones, too

Hit reply if you have any requests.

06. A Thought on Sharing

On the podcast, I talked about a recent video that stopped me mid-scroll.

A musician (Sean Kennedy) said: ‘I don’t care if you scroll.’ Then paused and corrected:
Actually… I don’t mind if you scroll.’

I’ve been thinking about it ever since.

What if we just shared what we feel called to share…and then let it go?
Not worrying about how it’s received or how it ‘performs’.
Just giving it to the world.

That’s the space I’m trying to hold. And I hope something about that speaks to you, too.

Also have a listen to the podcast if you’d like to hear more. I share the story behind Sean's song, Let Life Love You.

07. Something Beautiful (and Custom)

You may or may not know… I’ve been doing some beautiful Squarespace design work lately.
And I don’t mean cookie-cutter websites.
These are for creatives who want something truly their own - elevated, intentional…  an experience.

I’ve shared a few posts on the blog that show some of the design touches I keep layering on my site.
You’ll also find a video walkthrough of one of my recent collaborations…
Jamie Jamison’s new site.
Her work is gorgeous, and building her space was an absolute joy.

If you want to see what I mean, peek at the video or head over to Jamie’s site.

And if you’re craving a refresh - or a whole new site - you can take a look at my design packages here.

witih love
xx Kim
