There is an article in the 'The Conversation' publication about continuing advancements in AI technology for honey bee health, primarily the Varroa destructor parasite, which can be monitored in real time in a colony and then used to manage and improve honey bee health.
"Using imaging systems, sensors embedded in hives, image-processing techniques and AI, researchers are now able to continuously collect and analyze hive data to detect Varroa mites."
