I was minding my own business the other day, scrolling through my inbox and clearing out junk, when I noticed a potential threat building up for agents that's hiding in plain sight.
 
We are not the only people who can whisper sweet news in a homeowner's ear.
 
I was sent compelling emails from THREE separate entities, all inviting me to see what my home was worth and how much cash-money I had available to make my dreams come true. 
 
Their messages weren't weak sauce, either. “Use your home's equity to bring your kitchen into the modern era,” and “Your home's equity could be your ticket to your next epic vacation” were strategically placed in an eye-catching email with a clear call to action to bring my home's worth to my fingertips in seconds.

If I'm getting these emails, I know my database is too. 
 
But here's the thing: I don't feel threatened. Not one bit. However, some of you definitely should. I'm worried about the agents who aren't sending out value-packed home equity updates to their people on the regular.
