Hello.

Welcome to a special sunday evening edition of
The Kabine newsletter.

————————————

you have probably noticed the CONSTRUCTION in the area, more on that below.   Did you know it is for a special bike only road and new sidewalks?  I think it is a big win to improve the lifestyle in St. Louis.

in line with “the Tokyo toilet project” there is a selection of proposals to make the hwy 44 underpass less spooky.
the link is below along with  additional pages on the project.

what is “the Tokyo toilet project”?

catch up here and here.

Tiny shiny holiday tips at The Kabine
1 find the slow.
It may mean putting on a hat, scarf and cozy mittens and walking slower in the cold air.

Maybe it means discarding what is not giving value to the time spent and opening space for what does matter.

Maybe with the season where nature is more at rest it is time to readjust our thinking on longevity.

You can probably tell I am not a spring chicken.
I can't read without glasses anymore. I have decided to stop highlighting my hair, maybe a low light here and there, but I wish my hair would go to white sooner than later like my grandmother,
her sisters and my dad.

The only thing that brings me down at my age is that I am exhausted.  An exhaustion filled with tears, guilt and self loathing.

The Monocle article below especially perked me up.
So get ready if I am lucky you may find this little ole white haired lady someday sitting in her Airstream somewhere with a dog by her side offering the best slow goods I can find.
.
When not at The Kabine I will be somewhere learning pottery and textile design and walking with my dog.

Where will you be in your years beyond 80?

Nothing beats connecting with cities and the people who live there by visiting local businesses.
It warms hearts.

This week a young boy said the sweetest thing and when I said, “I could hug you, he walked over and hugged me.”  OMG : )
