I kept surrendering over and over until I finally did it! I surrendered my beloved son to God. In exchange, God gave me the peace that transcends all understanding, which is the kind of peace that only God can give (Philippians 4:7).
That was the beginning of my peaceful life, even in the midst of all the chaos surrounding me and my family. I know God is in charge and control. While I struggle with chronic illnesses and an autoimmune disorder, I love using my story to help and encourage other women still living in bondage due to the lies of the enemy. I am a prayer intercessor and lead a women's group. I love that God has called me to show up and help others. And I do it with joy. I feel so blessed to be part of the community where God is moving.
One thing I know and believe: God is faithful and He always fulfills his promises. And I believe that God has a plan for my son. Here is the verse that I pray over my son:
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” -Jeremiah 29:11 NIV
I don’t live in fear anymore because I know that God is in charge and in control, just as he has promised me in his word.
“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” -Isaiah 41:10 NIV
