I was preparing for the great NC snowocalpyse of 2026, and in the words of our lord and savior, Dick Wolf, the grocery store was “especially heinous”

But if the state shuts down and we're out of dog food? That's won't do at all.

That's preparation in real life. Now let's talk preparations in your business.

TLDR: Preparation

  • Vibes are good, prep is better

  • prepare for executive dysfunction

  • prepare for emotional dysregulation

  • prepare for low capacity / energy

  • some business updates and permissions

Preparation

I'm very much a fly-by-night hope and pray vibes sort of girl, and 60% of the time, it works every time.

But that's relying on a lot of things to go right that could quickly go wrong.

When you've got ADHD:
  • Adrenaline isn't sustainable.
  • Motivation isn't predictable.
  • Confidence isn't reliable.

Preparing Content

Your marketing efforts have to survive your ADHD on potato days.
  • Executive dysfunction
  • Emotional dysregulation
  • Lowered capacity/energy

Executive Dysfunction

It can show up as:
  • blankly staring at the screen / doom scrolling

  • knowing what to do but being unable to start

  • opening 17 tabs and accomplishing nothing

Hello decision fatigue
and analysis paralysis.

What helps:

Externalizing everything
One place to dump post ideas, hooks, and thoughts

Lowering the fucking bar
Just write a sentence and call it enough

Decide formats beforehand
Rotate through the same 3–4 post types

Emotional Dysregulation

It can show up as:

  • One post flops and you're bad at business

  • Editing authentic content into watered down bullshit

  • Deleting whole posts and drafts out of sheer panic

Hello burning it all down
and never trying again

What helps:

Decide your post-posting rules
How often you check engagement

Write it beforehand
Draft when you feel regulated, not reactive

Have a script ready
A sentence or phrase you can rely on when your inner critic is being a dick.

Low Capacity / Energy

It can show up:

  • When it shows up.

  • Hormones, weather, situations...

  • Can be wildly unpredictable
Hello guilt and shame from
doing less and struggling more.

What Helps:

Minimum viable posts
short thoughts, rough edges

Reuse, not reinvent
reshare or repost something

Build-in permission
Decide beforehand what good enough looks like.

Pro Tip: Stop raising the bar back because you feel some kinda way.

Preparation is safety, my friend.
Consider it your milk and bread
Or for me, coffee and dog food. 💜

If you don't feel safe,
everything you do suffers.
I will die on this hill.

Shifting Gears…

My business is shifting a bit. Not what I offer, but how.

Permission for You:

If you're not into my offer details, I feel you. You're welcome to skip the next part, but I want you to know this…

You can shift and adjust the things in your business that aren't working. You don't have to wait until things crash and burn or someone gives you permission. You are sovereign and can just…be and do.

Now…the Nitty Gritty Details

My coaching packages ask for a 1 — 6 month commitment. With ADHD, it can be hard to think about next week. Duh. Time to adjust!

So here's what I'm noodling on:

Keeping:
the 90 min market map for integration (this is the magical backbone of my business and it isn't going anywhere.)

Altering:
One hour alchemy coaching sessions will be ad hoc purchages. Optimizing your LinkedIn profile, AMA, thinking through stuck spots—it's an on-demand bippity boppity boop get out of the soup sesh.

Trashing:
Longer term coaching commitments. If you have a specific goal in mind, you can book up to 4 alchemy sessions at a time for a discount.

Considering:
Keeping async voxer support as an add-on for 2 weeks at a time for particularly tough spots like launches, etc.

A cowriting website offer - we make copy decisons together, I implement for you. More on that soon…

If you've got questions or suggestions about what would help you, DM me or hop on the calendar. ⬇️⬇️⬇️

I'll see you soon.
Until then…

Bippity boppity boop — it's cold, eat some soup!

Neurodivergently Yours🍄
Alex

P.S.
As things shift, I have room for new clients. So, if you're considering working together — email/dm/book a chat and let's talk about it. No pressure, no pitch.
