Sleep… Part 1
Sleep in midlife… are we right? We are dedicating May to better sleep!
So many women are exhausted… but still can’t fall asleep. And often it’s not because we’re “doing sleep wrong.”
It’s because our nervous systems never really gets the message that the day is over.
Your body needs cues. Little signals of safety.
Softness.
Slowness.
That’s why some of the most powerful sleep support has nothing to do with medication—and everything to do with how we transition into the evening.
Here are a few things that genuinely help:
✨ Dimming lights at night
Bright overhead lights can keep the brain stimulated longer than we realize.
✨ Reducing blue light exposure
Phones and scrolling tell the brain: “Stay alert. Stay awake. More input is coming.”
✨ Relaxation practices
Gentle stretching, breathwork, restorative yoga, or simply sitting quietly for 5 minutes can help shift the nervous system out of “go mode.”
✨ Essential oils for relaxation
Lavender, cedarwood, Stress Away, and calming nighttime blends can become beautiful bedtime anchors for the body.
✨ Watching or reading non-stimulating content
Maybe we don’t need true crime before bed 😅
The nervous system responds to everything we consume.
The goal isn’t perfection.
It’s creating an environment where your body feels safe enough to rest. And honestly? Midlife sleep often needs a more supportive approach than “just go to bed earlier.”
That’s exactly why we’re hosting our Sleep Class.
We’re talking about:
🌙 nervous system regulation
🌙 nighttime routines that actually help
🌙 simple wellness shifts
🌙 natural sleep support
🌙 how to stop feeling exhausted all the time
If sleep has been feeling frustrating lately, we would absolutely love to have you join us.
Because deep rest changes everything…
