Self-Care #7: Journaling
Sometimes the most powerful wellness tool isn't another supplement, workout, or 47-step morning routine.
It’s a piece of paper.
And a few honest words.
Journaling gets a little eye-rolly sometimes because we've turned it into something we’re supposed to do perfectly — beautiful journals, elaborate morning routines, 30-minute writing sessions...
You don't need any of that.
Sometimes journaling is simply giving the thoughts in your head somewhere to go.
What am I actually feeling right now?
What do I need?
What’s taking more energy than it should?
What am I avoiding?
What would feel really good today?
There’s something powerful about taking a thought that's been swirling around in your head and putting it on paper.
You can see it.
Question it.
Sometimes you realize it's not even true.
Sometimes you discover what you actually want.
And sometimes...you just realize you're really freaking tired and need to stop pretending you're not. 😂
That's useful information, too.
You don't have to journal every morning. You don't have to fill three pages.
You don't even have to know what you're going to write.
Start with one question and five minutes.
Let the words come out messy.
This isn't about creating beautiful prose.
It's about creating a little space between you and everything happening inside your head.
And that, my friend, can be a pretty powerful form of self-care.
