Dear First name / friend

How's your week been? I hope you've had a happy week … with a little sourdough baking thrown in!

This week I want to talk about sourdough starters! Because no matter what level of sourdough you're at, every so often, your sourdough starter will need a bit of attention!

And if you're storing it in the fridge, or planning to, then this question will be of particular interest to you.
Can I use sourdough starter straight from the fridge?”.

This is a bit of a curly question.  And the answer really depends on your sourdough starter, it's maturity level and how long it's been in the fridge.

But the short answer is no! You can't use sourdough starter straight from the fridge. I've written the long answer to this question here

Sourdough starter really needs to be at its peak for the best results.

Oh and if you missed last week's question - you can read the question and answer here.

As always, I love to see your sourdough wins - and help you with any problems you might be having. Have a question you'd like answered on my site? Let me know!

Until next week,

Wishing you sourdough success,
