Rebrand a Local Business with Me
Week 2: Logo Design
Hi First name / friend!

Welcome to Week Two of my 4-week email series on rebranding a local business!

πŸ‘‰πŸ» In case you missed my previous emails, you can catch up here:
This week, I'm sharing my initial logo concepts for Cornerstone Bed & Breakfast (aka the exciting part!)

Typically, this process looks like:
  1. Creating many, many concepts behind the scenes - exploring different typefaces, illustrated elements, layouts, etc.
  2. Narrowing down all those concepts to the 2-3 strongest options
  3. Presenting those 2-3 concepts and the rationale behind them to the client via video
All of the initial concepts are presented in black and white in order to keep our focus on the form of the logo itself and not get distracted by color.

After the client shares their feedback, I'll refine their chosen concept and bring in color, font recommendations, and sometimes additional logo variations. We'll look at that step of the process for Cornerstone B&B next week.
Logo Design Concepts
Without further ado, let's look at the logo concepts for Cornerstone B&B!

** I highly recommend watching the video in order to hear my rationale behind the design - this is crucial because logos need to be reviewed with context, otherwise we tend to judge them purely subjectively, thus diminishing the intentionality behind them.

If you'd like to take a closer look at the concepts, you may download the PDF I presented here.
