The Soaring Stars Block is inspired by staying up late and watching the shooting stars dash through the night sky as a kid. I wanted to take elements from a traditional EPP 6-pointed star block, but make it more approachable with a traditional piecing method. The whole block is composed of triangles and alternating colors, giving this 6-pointed star a modern shape that looks multidimensional.

 

I highly recommend using a 60° (equilateral) triangle ruler for this block. I like this one because it's large enough to use in other projects if needed.
