Hello First name / friend,

 

Happy Thursday!  I hope your week is going well.  It's been a beautiful one here in southern Minnesota.. or at least after the rain let up early in the week.  

I haven't gotten much done this past week but I wanted to show you this really fun quilt I've been chipping away at.  

This is the Twinkle quilt pattern by Cluck Cluck Sew.  I'm using a Ruby Star Society 10 years panel plus all Ruby Star fabric from my stash.  

 

This quilt has been so so enjoyable to sew up.  I've been making each block individually which is something I rarely do.  I almost don't want it to end.  

 

If you snagged a Ruby Star Society 10 years panel, the squares work for the centers of these blocks.  These panels are getting harder to find and will sell out soon.  The good news is that Moda is doing a reprint this fall if you miss out.

The other project I've been working on is the hand quilting on my Plus Charmed quilt.  It's coming along!  It's going to have ¾ inch spaced lines and I'm currently working on the 1-½ inch spacing.

I find the straight lines to be the most relaxing and the easiest so this has been fun to work on.  

I feel like I've hardly been working this week but then I remembered that I've also been spending time getting all of my messes under control.  It's hard not to creep into every room of this house with quilting stuff.

 

I added these Ikea closets a few years back for quilts and pattern storage.  The shelving brackets are ridiculously flimsy and the pattern closet shelves all collapsed about 6 months ago.  Well… we FINALLY got them fixed and reinforced this week so I'm filling them back up.  

 

This first closet is my quilt storage closet.  So if you are wondering what I do with all of my quilts they go in here.  Actually, I wish that was true…haha.  This closet was completely overstuffed and full… until today!  

I am at the point of complete and utter overwhelm with my quilts.  So I ruthlessly went through them and now have this huge pile to get rid of.  And this isn't even all of them.  I have one more huge stack that needs to be taken care of.   But it did clear up two whole shelves in my cabinet and clear out a bunch of random piles elsewhere. 

That means I'll most likely be adding some of these to my shop very soon.
