DAY 7: Audacity to Fulfill the Mission
“When Jesus had received the sour wine, he said, ‘It is finished,’ and he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.” – John 19:30
Jesus’ entire life was marked by purpose, and He fulfilled it with audacity. From the manger to the cross, He lived fearlessly, unapologetically, and fully committed to the mission the Father had given Him. When He declared, “It is finished,” it wasn’t a cry of defeat but a proclamation of victory.
The audacity of Jesus reminds us that true boldness isn’t about showing off; it’s about showing up. It’s about perseverance, obedience, and unwavering faith in the face of challenges. Jesus completed His mission because He never lost sight of the bigger picture, God’s plan to redeem humanity.
In fulfilling His mission, Jesus demonstrated that surrender to God’s will doesn’t mean losing; it means gaining eternal significance. His example teaches us that the path of obedience may include sacrifice, but it’s through that sacrifice that God’s greatest work is accomplished. Every step Jesus took, even when it led to the cross, was a step toward the fulfillment of God’s ultimate plan, a plan that included you and me.
What mission has God entrusted to you? It might not always be easy, but His grace is sufficient, and His power is made perfect in our weakness. Like Jesus, you can live with audacity, knowing that what God starts in you, He will finish.
