Hi First name,

Welcome to week 8 of the Make Time Sewalong. It's Jo here from The Crafty Nomad. Week 8! Can you believe it? We are on the home stretch now! Have you been keeping up? Don't worry if you haven't, the learning materials will be there for you when you need them. Remember to save this email somewhere you will be able to find it, as it has lots of useful links below.

Ok, so in week 1 you tackled my Make Time Quote FPP block. And since then you've also made some more foundation paper pieced blocks from Victoria and Lou, so by now I'm guessing you are a foundation paper piecing ninja?! :-) If not, don't worry I have more tips for you!

This week we are taking a look at some of my other FPP blocks, namely: Time for a Cuppa; Upbeat; and Thread Spools.
The Spools block is probably the easiest block to make as it has no tricky matching up points and relatively few pieces. And finishing up at 6" ‘sewn in’, it can be used in lots of other smaller projects.

Below you can see a pouch Victoria kindly made for me. And on the right you can see how I used it in a panel I added to my denim jacket.

Pop over to my blog post for more Foundation Paper Piecing (FPP) guidance.

But that's not all you'll find over there! I've been looking at the mugs thinking they would be perfect for a little embroidery! So if you pop over to the blog post you'll be able to download some free, quilt themed, templates to add to your mugs if your heart desires!
