My Initial Business Plan:

Work for myself.
Escape the 9 to 5.

🤷‍♀️I didn't think much beyond that, and built a business by the seat of my sweatpants.

By the time it was up and running, I'd designed the exact 9 to 5 grind I was trying to escape.

Oops.

I had no idea what my business could look like, so I built by default.

That's why knowing your dream is so important.

TLDR on Dream
  • You can't move toward your vision if you don't have one.

  • Throw out the “shoulds”

  • Visualize the business you want

  • Permission granted to build it

  • Dream journal prompts

Dream

Imagining your dream business might sound like just a fun mental exercise.

In reality though, that dream is the most important part of your business—because everything else hinges on it.

It's how you decide:
  • The clients you work with
  • The kinds of offers you create
  • How much you charge
  • What content you create
Without a clear dream, you end up doing tons of shit that doesn't move the needle forward, it just spins it around the compass.

If you don't have a destination,
you don't have a direction.

Fuck the “Shoulds”

Your entire life you've been told: You should do this. You shouldn't do that.

Even when it isn't spoken outloud, societal expectations about the “life you should lead” are deafening.

“Go to college, start a professional career, marry someone, have 2.2 kids, a white picket fence and a dog,” right?

Bleh.

If that's not your path, you can suffocate under the shoulds.

And that's why intentional direction matters for your business.

Because if you don't have your own vision, you'll likely default to the business model you know.
  • A 9 to 5 M-F grind
  • Meetings that could be emails
  • Useless tasks to stay busy
  • Etc., etc., etc…gag me.

You left that world for a reason.

Think about this:

With no limitations, no wobbling…
The business of your fucking dreams—
What does it look like?

Myths Busted

I struggled with the idea of a “dream business”…because I believed a lot of things that weren't true.
  • Business can't be fun or authentic.

  • Work has to be hard to be valuable.

  • Success means overtime and suffering.

  • Selling is awful and feels gross.

  • I didn't deserve it.
BULLSHIT

But that stuff can get deeply ingrained and you might not even know it's there.

So, if there's something you want in your business, but you feel like you can't have it—why, bb?

Is that true?

Spoiler alert: it's almost never true.

You just have to get the fuck out of your own way.

Dream by Design

Your dream business isn't going to fall into your lap, babe; you have to build by design, not default.

Ask yourself:
What do you want it to look like?
What do you want it to feel like?
What are the values? The vibe?

Visualize it

If you think visualization is woo-woo, take a seat and listen up.

I do love some woo-woo, but this ain't it. There's a ton of science behind visualization.

People using it:
  • Michael Phelps
  • Oprah Winfrey
  • Serena Williams
  • Jim Carrey
  • And the list goes on.

Because visualization works.

Fact: your brain responds the same way to thinking about action as it does to doing the action. Cool, right?

Get Super Specific: Walk through your dream business in your mind—imagine everything about it—the sights, sounds, smells, feels, all of it.

And if you're extra like me, make a vision board! (working on mine for 2026)

You're building the
muscle memory of success.

You Don't Need Permission
Finally, you are in charge of your life and your business.

Just you.

You get to build it however you like. And there are no limitations, except the ones you put on yourself.

But, just in case you need a nudge to get started (I did):

You are as free as you want to be.
Permission 1,000% granted to
built the business of your dreams.
Even if you've already built your business based on someone else's model, you can change that now.

Here are some journal prompts to help you visualize the buisness of your dreams:

I'll see you soon.
Until then…

Stay Wild. Kick Ass. Drink Water.

Neurodivergently Yours,
Alex
P.S.
“Dream” is the first step in my signature 6D coaching process. The framework can be used with or without a coach, so I'll be sharing the steps over the next few weeks. Also, hosting a Janauary workshop to bring the entire framework together for you. More on that later.

P.P.S.
I read and respond to every reply. If something in this issue caught you by the short and curlies, I'd love to know. And if it was helpful, please share.
