Year of Softer Wellness
What is softer wellness?
Talked about it a few emails ago,
here.
In essence, it’s just be gentle with ourselves and allow ourselves to not be super strict, but let our wellness practice fit into the life we really want to live.
That includes being soft with ourselves.
So let’s talk about something quietly exhausting:
how hard we are on ourselves when it comes to wellness.
We tend to swing into all-or-nothing thinking:
“I’m doing this perfectly… or I’ve blown it.”
“I was good all week… until I wasn’t.”
“I’ll start over Monday.”
Somewhere along the way, wellness became another place we grade ourselves.
And perfectionism sneaks in wearing a wellness costume:
- Miss one workout → why bother?
- Eat one “off-plan” meal → start again next month
- Skip a habit → spiral into guilt
But your body doesn’t need perfection.
It needs consistency, safety, and kindness.
That’s why this year, we are choosing softer wellness.
Softer doesn’t mean careless.
It means gentle and steady.
It looks like:
- Doing what you can instead of everything
- Letting progress count even when it’s messy
- Choosing support over self-punishment
- Returning to habits without shame
Because when we’re harsh with our bodies, they don’t respond with cooperation — they respond with stress, fatigue, and resistance.
Gentleness actually creates momentum.
You don’t need to be stricter.
You don’t need more rules.
You don’t need to “try harder.”
You need a way of caring for yourself that you can stay in — even on hard weeks.
This year, we’re loosening the grip.
We’re trading perfection for presence.
And we’re letting wellness feel like support — not another standard to live up to.
You’re allowed to take care of yourself without being hard on yourself.
Soooo…
This is what we are creating - a whole community for softer wellness.
