Hey hey, hi, hello First name / friend!! 🖤

Welcome back to another fun edition of the newsletter!

How has your spring been so far? I feel like this time of year always picks up speed — especially if you have kids. Between school events, spring sports, and everything in between, life can start to feel a little chaotic real quick.

But if you happen to find yourself with a spare moment (or need a good excuse to slow down), you have to watch The Madison. Nick and I binged it in two days 🥴😆 — it was that good. Fair warning: it’s definitely emotional, so grab the tissues… but wow, it’s so well done and 100% worth it. The second it ended, we both looked at each other and said, “Okay… when is season 2??”

But I know you didn’t come here just to talk about my current TV obsession… so let’s get into it. ✨

style it like a
STAPLE

One thing about me? I love getting the most out of my wardrobe. This monthly segment is all about showing you how to make your closet work harder by styling one key piece in fresh, unexpected ways. Whether it’s something you already own or something new you’ve been eyeing, my goal is to help you see it through a new lens — and fall in love with it all over again.

Because when you learn to style something like a staple, it becomes more than just a one-time wear. It turns into a go-to. A favorite. A piece that makes getting dressed easier (and way more fun).

This Month’s Styling Tip: the white button down!

Let me know if I’m wrong… but I’m pretty sure 99% of closets have a white button-down shirt. If you don’t have one in your closet, I can almost guarantee your husband has one hanging in his… and if not, your dad definitely does.

It’s one of those forever staples that never goes out of style.

But can we talk about how boring they can be?

I was scrolling Pinterest looking for fresh ways to style mine… and it was the same outfit over and over again.

White button-down.
Blue jeans.
Minimal variation.

Don’t get me wrong — it’s cute. The girlies did their thing. But we are not copy + paste.
We need variety. We need personality. We need to bring this “stiff” staple back to life.

So here’s how we’re doing it 👇

BLUEBERRY streusel MUFFINS

INGREDIENTS

Muffins
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon fine salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 “egg” (use Bob’s Red Mill Egg Replacer)
    • Mix 1 Tbsp egg replacer + 2 Tbsp water, let sit 1–2 minutes
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries

STREUSEL TOPPING
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter (1/2 stick), melted
Mix with a fork until crumbly. Set aside.
INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Grease or spray a muffin tin well.
  2. In a medium bowl, stir together flour, salt, baking soda, and baking powder. Set aside.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together:
    • prepared egg replacer
    • sugar
    • buttermilk
    • melted butter
    • vanilla
  4. Slowly add dry ingredients into wet ingredients.
  5. Mix gently — don’t overmix (this matters even more with egg replacer).
  6. Spoon batter evenly into 10 muffin cups.
  7. Gently press blueberries into each muffin so they’re distributed.
  8. Sprinkle generously with streusel topping (don’t be shy—pile it on).
  9. Bake for 17–18 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out with a few crumbs.
