Good morning from my overcrowded hotel room. I'm currently typing from a crusted table filled with goldfish crackers, 76 empty cups and a half eaten beef jerky stick that's laying on the corner of my laptop. Can you smell it? I can smell it.
Let me just say, my kids had the time of their lives. Let me also just say, my husband who is the most chill human being on the planet, gave the front desk quite the earful about his disappointment with our stay. If I'm being honest, it turned me on a little. But I digress.
So many things went wrong it was almost comical. A lot of the advertised amenities and services were unavailable and that was a huge bummer. But it was the staff's laissez-faire attitude that really tipped my husband over the edge. Needless to say, we will not be coming back.
Despite our hotel, the kids had a blast. We went to the zoo, got a safari ride, went fishing, rock climbing, and got tons of pool time. Correction: my husband and kids got a lot of pool time. I kicked off our vacation with a fever and spent a good chunk of time in bed. Don't worry though, I made it to the pool on the last day with a smile on my face and a big fat margarita in my hand.
I miss Charlie and cannot wait to smooch her ridiculously beautiful face. I don't know how it's possible for someone to love a dog that much, but when I tell you it hurts how much I miss her, IT HURTS.
