HAPPY FRIDAYYYY

A few days ago when my daughter was being snippy with me, I looked her dead in the eye and said, “Don't you talk back to me.” And immediately, with no hesitation she responded, “Isn't that how a conversation works?” And it felt like the entire universe was holding me back from keeping a straight face. She did have a point. I laughed, and then was so pissed at myself for laughing. WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO MY SWEET 8 YEAR OLD?

I'm not crying, you're crying.

This week has been a whirlwind of emotions. A little over three years ago I sat at my coffee stained kitchen table and pressed publish on my very first blog post while my heart pounded out of my chest. I don't think anyone read that blog post other than my family and my close friends. Fast forward to this week, my audience on Instagram blew past 12ok and suddenly I had a ton of new eyeballs on prettyonfridays.com.

When I posted that “about me” video on Instagram, there were thousands of you that shared it. THOUSANDS. I don't know what I did to deserve such an amazing and loyal community, but you guys are truly my people. And I 100% attribute that video going viral to you.

As most of you know, I started my IG account to promote my blog so that one day I could write a book. I was told I needed to build an audience to become relevant, so that people would care about what I had to say. Thank you for helping me grow that community, I will forever be grateful for the doors you all have opened for me.

Things I loved this week

*This section contains affiliate links. That means, while it's the same price for you, I get a very small commission out of it that helps my family and I. But most importantly, helps fund my art and Diet Coke addiction.

On Apple TV

It's a show about a convicted drug dealer who is forced to get a confession out of suspected serial murderer while in a maximum-security prison. So good, I'm hooked.

On Apple TV

It's a show about a woman who's lost her memory from an alleged suicide attempt. She slowly starts to piece together memories and questions if she was pushed or actually tried to commit suicide. SO GOOD.
Have a great weekend!
