And for twenty of these twenty-nine days of this Black February of twenty and twenty-four have I lived again on this Black American soil.

 

And for what I have sojourned and witnessed in this place, over this time - I am reminded of the deeply familiar. The Black wearing of suffering. The Black complexity of enlightenment. The Black relief of joy. It is mere testament of the grace of a marvelous God, who carries us in every breath of Black life.

 

And for His providence and His will and every life He gave me reason to find myself near, to hold space with and for; I thank Him for guiding and carrying every one of us to this land of promise on earth. Where we are still here. Where the blood flows in our veins, where we breathe the breadth of His prevailing blessings.
