TIPS FOR WEEK SEVEN: - Don't forget, if you haven't already, to sew your Full Strip units to the top of your Flower units before assembling your quilt top!
- Before sewing your rows, you could also sew the Tall Arch units to the left and right sides of your Flower + Full Strip/Figure H8 Units. That would be one less step you'd have to do when assembling your B and D rows.
- There are 5 types of rows within the quilt top that are labeled Row A - D. Row A is only made once. The order of the units/pieces in each type of row are the same, the color placement within the units/pieces is the only difference.
- I recommend sewing each row this week and then sewing all of your rows together next week. Use the printable linked above to help with color placement while sewing your rows! It shows which units/pieces are within each row and the colorways of those units/pieces too.
- To avoid getting too overwhelmed, I only sewed 2 - 3 rows at a time. I personally find accomplishing a bunch of smaller goals (i.e. Make two rows) keeps me more motivated and I'm less likely to give up then if I set one big goal for myself (i.e. Make all the rows).
- There is a pattern to the color placement in the quilt. For example, directly below each Full Arch unit in the A, C, and E rows is a Flower Unit of the same background color. Or, below each Flower Unit in the B and D rows is the Leaves unit of the same background color. I recommend tackling each row by first matching the Flower/Leaves units with the row above it. You can then color match the rest of the units within that row based on the Flower/Leaves units too. For example, the corner colors in your Full Arch units will always match the background color of the Leaves unit it is touching. This will all make more sense during the FB Live today so make sure to watch it if you can!
