Hello First name / friend , Happy Monday

“Between every two pine trees there is a door leading to a new way of life.” - John Muir

The first time I saw these two trees, I immediately thought of the John Muir quote. No metaphor here, my little girls and I literally squeezed our bodies between the two trunks, giggling away.

During the first lockdown days and months of the pandemic, we spent many, many hours here at Lazo marsh. It's not a large area but there were plenty of birds, trees, stumps and rolling trails to keep us exploring and occupied. We always felt our best outside; we were away from the endless news, less anxious about the world, and deeply engaged in experiences that engaged our senses and calmed our bodies and hearts.

PROMPTS
* Go for a walk and take photos of large or very tiny ‘doors’ in natural places. You might find trees like these, or you could get down low and find doorways between the flowers or blades of grass.

* Create a doorway in your art journal or a 3D doorway from natural objects

* Consider metaphorical doorways in your life that are open (ing) for you during this season
