SACRIFICE RITUAL
According to Google Gen AI,
"The word sacrifice comes from the Latin word sacrificium, which is a combination of the words sacer and facere:
Sacer: Means something is set apart from the secular or profane for the use of supernatural powers
Facere: Means "to make"
Sacrifice is a giving from the mundane world to the world of spirit - a symbolic bridge-making between the material plane, and the world of energy.
I am not a big fan of talking about sacrifice in a self-punishing way. I don't believe sacrifice must/should involve hurting someone or something, disciplining ourselves into version of ourselves that is more worthy of love, or harming our psyches to get some sort of result.
No, to me, this setting aside a resource from the mundane world to offer to the Supernatural world is a magical, symbolic act that invites timespace to collapse so we can birth a new reality.
An act of sacrifice is both a reclamation of our own power as creator beings, and a humbling of our small selves to forces greater than our minds can comprehend.
A sacrifice is an act of respect to the Universe's imagination, and how it intersects with our own imaginal experience. And when a sacrifice is made with clear-hearted intentions for our highest good and the highest good of all, it invites miracles.
A little more from about Sacrifice from Google Gen AI:
The word sacrifice was originally used in a religious context to describe a cultic act where objects were offered to a god or supernatural power. The first records of the word sacrifice come from the 1200s.
The word sacrifice has developed multiple meanings and uses, including:
- Giving up something valuable for something more valuable
- Selling at a loss
- In chess, when a player allows a piece to be captured to gain an advantage
- In baseball, a play that helps a baserunner advance but results in an out for the batter
SACRIFICE is an act of trading the mind's egoic limited version of something to the universal heart's will. Sacrifice is an activation of your Soul's timeline over your mind's timeline. Sacrifice is alignment with the Spiritual long-game, which paradoxically is the path of least resistance, and divine efficiency.
HERE IS YOUR SACRED SACRIFICE RITUAL FOR A NEW ERA
YOU WILL NEED:
A piece of paper
A pen or pencil
Colored pencils or markers
THE RITUAL
Think about something you are willing to set aside - money, time, energy, the use of your skills, your voice, your song, your art - to offer to the Universal Heart's will.
Write down what you are willing to set aside on your paper.
Then think about a desire that you have been ruminating on - a particular business goal, amount of money or desire that comes in a particular form.
Write this down. (Leave a lot of space around this.)
Then do the following imaginal exercise:
IMAGINAL EXERCISE
Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths, imagining you have deep roots into the earth, and a stream of cosmic light is showering you, both recharging you and taking away anything that is not for your highest good to recycle into new energy.
Spend 1-2 minutes breathing in the energy of receptivity and imagining a connection between your heart, the Earth's heart, and the Universe's heart.
As you continue to focus on the center of your heart, imagine a color, sound, symbol or phrase that represents the most expansive version of what your heart truly desires.
Trust whatever comes up, even if its truly abstract.
When you have received the impression of the energy of your true desire - draw or write what you received on top of the the particular desire you wrote down.
Imagine your symbol, color or phrase is expanding the potential for miracles, and opening you up to the energy you desire in a way that goes beyond your mental attachments.
When you are done, say aloud or internally,
“I sacrifice the expectations of my mind, and open up to the Universal Heart's Will for my highest good and the highest good of all connected to me.”
Thank the earth, your own heart, and the heart of the universe, and whatever forces of Love supported you in this ritual.
THE COMMITMENT
Look at what you agreed to sacrifice and make that sacrifice or put an exact time/date(s) in your calendar that you will be offering this sacrifice.
If you decided to sacrifice time/energy, you can put in your calendar when you will sit in 3 minutes of silence or donate time to clean up your neighborhood. (If it makes sense, you may wish to offer your sacrifice multiple times over the next 21 days).
Think of these acts of sacrifice as devotional bridges between you and the intention you have just set. Open your heart to receiving what is more beautiful than what your mind can expect.
Inspiration for Sacrifices:
Volunteering time.
Donating to mutual aid.
Offering your service to a community in need.
Sending love and energy to the earth, your ancestors or
people in need.
Helping a neighbor in need.
Reaching out to your elders.
Doing something for the plants and animals.
Forgoing consumption of something.
Disengaging from gossip socially and in the news.
Engaging less in less screen time.
Giving offerings to trees and bodies of water.
Offering your creative energy to nature.
Offering your prayers to your ancestors, the earth, or anything in need.
Spending time admiring nature in silence.
Speaking up for someone or something that does not have a voice.
AN IMPORTANT NOTE :
The sacrifice cannot be made transactionally - as if you are asking the universe to trade you x for your mind's idea of y. To truly co-create, you have to be open to the Universe's Imagination.
*That is the alchemical ingredient.
