I'm writing this early as I'm going on a yoga & journaling retreat this weekend!
One of the practices that I find so enjoyable and grounding is drawing outside. The photo below was taken at Lazo marsh, here in Comox. I found one small stick that was adorned with lichen - it looks a bit like a wand 🪄 . I sat on the ground, in the sweet smelling pine needles, and sketched the branch using a brown Stabilo pencil. I squeezed in this sketch just before the clouds let loose and the rain came pouring down. You can listen to the rain (with a few car noises) in the linked video below the photo.
